Yamaha | DX7 II-FD | 1980s FM Synthesiser l Original | Vintage

This unit spent most of its life in-house at Melbourne famous Sing Sing Recording Studios! Who knows what hits it appeared on. 

Great  condition, sounds excellent. 

The DX7 was an instant classic FM synth when it came out in 1983. It, along with some notable Roland synths truly were the sound of the era.

The DX7 II FD soon followed with three significant updates.

• Actual push-buttons replacing thim membrane buttons of the original. 

• New 16-bit digital circuitry.
• Patch memory expanded from 32 to 64 voices.
• full MIDI support, micro-tuning capabilities. aftertouch controlled pitch bending, and multiple LFOs.
• keyboard split and layering capabilities.
• (This allows two voices to be layered in dual mode, voices could also be split across the keyboard for a multi-timbral capability.
