The 2025 Custom Shop models from Leadbetter Guitar Co have arrived! 

THE WHITE WOODY #CS251

BODY

Based on our “Dano Style” birch ply and Masonite body but with the addition of an inverse route around its perimeter, reminiscent of a German carve. Beautiful burled Maple veneer edge wrap and our custom “Bone Cracked Relic” add to its classic appeal. 

NECK

This custom QLD Maple neck has a comfortable medium C profile and the thin Rosewood fretboard. The headstock is solid rosewood with body matching burled Maple veneer. Brass neck inserts with Stainless steel neck bolts form a strong resonant connection between the neck and body. 

ELECTRONICS 

The beating heart of the White Woody is a set of MadLove F-Tron Filtertron humbucking pickups, hand wound here in Melbourne Australia. Gold Gretsch style pickup bezels. A Danalectro stacked Vol/Tone pot and a 3 way toggle switch are mounted to a custom aluminium/Maple veneered control plate. The addition of a Pure Tone professional 4 point Jack Socket assures consistency of performance for years to come. 

HARDWARE

Vintage nickel locking tuners from Guyker 

Our Wheeler Tone Anchor II bridge is a key ingredient of all Leadbetter Guitar Co creations. A 1.6mm Stainless Steel base plate with a solid brass string block and 3 Tele style compensated brass brings saddles are essential to the resonance and tone of this instrument

The addition of a custom cut, polished brass nut  brings even more zing to the White Woody.
