Introducing the Latest Installment from the Leadbetter Guitar Co; The GT.

The Mission Statement:
Based on the foundations of our popular "Peacekeeper" model with a new "Battle Relic Flat Black" finish. Body construction and neck profile remain the same but thisslick ride takes on a life of its own with a pair of new "Goldentone" Custom Shop: Australian made ML1 A6 LIPSTICK Humbucking Pickups. Developed around the rarely seen Alnico 6 Bar Magnets used by Danelectro in the 50's and 60's.  Alnico 5 has typically been used in re-issue Danelectro and silverton Lipstick picks since the 90s and while it is a great substitute, Alnico 6 has a unique sonic character that is rarely found in the modern era.  2 coils paired give us a humbucking version of the classic lo output sound of those guitars, but retains the rather flat frequency response and dry tone we associate with the originals. Chime and sheen, Dry yet still dynamic and Super warm when used in the neck position.

Paired with our "Dano" style body you have a bright, jangly, musical tone with exeption clarity and definition. 

* This GT is #001 and is a Prototype, and it has a mark on the back of the body.

  • "Danelectro" inspired body construction finished in Battle Relic Black. Birch Ply skeleton with masonite top and back plates. 
  • Custom built QLD maple neck with rosewood fretboard from JMB Guitars.
  • Super slim C shape “Anti- Fatigue” neck profile, medium frets and bone nut. 25.5 scale length.
  • Stainless steel neck bolts with insert nuts.
  • Custom made "Wheeler Tone Anchor" stainless steel bridge a solid brass tone bar and Wilkinson compensated brass saddles.
  • Goldentone Custom Shop "ML" Lipstick Humbuckers (Australian Made!)
  • Dimarzio USA CTS volume pot and Switchcraft USA Jack
  • Gotoh/Hosco 3 on a plate Tuning Keys.
  • Hand made Acrylic TORT control plate and pick gaurd.
  • Precision set-up from Nepean Music Workshop with STRINGJOY 10-48 Signature Strings
  • Comes in a Hiscox Hardcase
